What is 4-H?
4-H is a youth organization for children and teens aged 5-18 run by youth officers. Each year members pick specific subjects they are interested in and enroll in projects that focus on that area. Through the project work, members will develop citizenship, leadership and life skills. Projects teach skills such as public speaking, animal husbandry, or even sewing!
The 4-Hs stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, which represent the four values that members work on throughout the year: thinking and learning, caring, giving and working, and healthy living.
